Philicia Barbieri Yoga Instructor
Philicia first walked into a yoga studio in 2016 at the encouragement of a friend, and immediately fell in love with the practice. She was initially drawn to the physical side of yoga; noticing how yoga increased overall strength and flexibility. After developing a consistent practice, it was the mental aspects of yoga, the breath and moving meditation, that kept her coming back.
In 2018 Philicia completed her 200-hour teacher training through South Hills Power Yoga. Since completing her training. Philicia has continued to take additional workshops and classes to advance both her own practice and teaching skills. Philicia loves to share yoga with others; paying attention to breath and allowing each student to have their own unique experience. Outside of teaching yoga, Philicia works as the director of drug and alcohol treatment program in Pittsburgh and is a licensed therapist, she lives in McKeesport with her boyfriend and 3 dogs.

Kiersten Yoga Instructor
Kiersten first started doing yoga in 2017 when she joined a friend for class. Immediately she fell in love with the practice of connecting body, mind, and spirit. Following her intuition, she signed up for teacher training in 2021 which fueled her love for yoga even more. After every class she hopes to leave her students feeling confident, accomplished, and inspired. When Kiersten isn’t practicing yoga, she is probably at home hanging out with her cat, Greta.
Matt Baverso Boot Camp Instructor
Hello Matt here! I’ve always loved anything that is physical and challenging so in 2022 when I got a push from my wife to try something different, I accepted and started Strength Conditioning Training. Then in January 2023 when friends asked if we wanted to try a meditation class with them, I accepted and I attended my first induction to Yoga. Let’s just say it was not love at first sight. It was a Glow class, and I remember thinking this wasn’t for me. Afterwords talking to my Guru Sensei (Cameron) she said, “your energy needs something more physical than this class”. I was impressed and intrigued by someone whom I just met could read my energy level, wants, and needs at a simple glance. I followed up her suggestion and came back a week later for an Evolve class. Still skeptical I remember thinking this “simple” stretching class will help my flexibility with my strength building, boy was I wrong! The class was one of the hardest exercises I had ever done but in a good way. I used and pushed my muscles like I never had before. Mixed with Cam’s positive message and words, learning the importance of slowing down, breath work and listening to the body and soul I was hooked! I feel balanced since Yoga came into my life that I didn’t get just from strength building.
Then in 2024 I was impressed and intrigued again when I was asked to teach some Booty Camps here at Sunnie Vibes Studio. I never thought I’d be teaching a class, but I accepted again. I will combine the skills and techniques I’m learning from both sides of my life to create a great and unique class for all fitness levels. I am so grateful and honored to be given this opportunity to help others on their fitness journey, whatever their goals may be.
Outside of fitness I work full time managing Food Services at Children’s Hospital, and in my spare time I love any social activity with Family and Friends. Such as good times around a fire, Bar Trivia, long weekend getaways, 5K’s runs, Tough Mudder Obstacle Course, Yearly Polar Plunge Fundraiser and of course Sunday Pizza and Wine Nights.
