In this class we will explore exercises in somatic healing, which focuses on the mind-body connection. Our issues are often stored in our tissues, and due to a lack of awareness or attention, stress accumulates and contributes to nervous system disregulation. These exercises are invaluable to: regulate emotionally, tap into the power of the vagus nerve, reduce stress hormones, heal stored traumas, increase body awareness, strengthen intuition, ground, and connect to Spirit. We will briefly talk about theory but mostly explore exercises that heal and uplift.
If you deal with chronic stress, burn out, anxiety, depression, hormonal imbalance or the aftereffects of trauma, you will benefit from deliberate practices that help to calm your nervous system. When the nervous system is stressed you can also experience sleep problems, GI issues, headaches, irregular blood pressure, muscular tension, fatigue, feelings of overstimulation/overwhelm and constantly being in the "flight or fight" response. In this class you will experience techniques to calm an overactive nervous system including increased parasympathetic response, increased vagal tone, and limbic system retraining. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal.
This hands on class is open to reiki or other energy work practitioners at any level. You will learn how to tune in to your clients intuitively while giving reiki. The many images, messages, feelings, as well as medical and energetic information you receive will be better understood and utilized to bring about a more powerful healing session. It can be difficult or confusing to interpret your intuitive perceptions and this class will fine tune and refine your intuitive ability as a healer. Taught by a Reiki Master Teacher and professional psychic/medium.
